Bye bye

I guess it’s the time for me to say goodbye. I will not be able to update this postcard blog anymore. I started this blog only January this year. It feels like so recent, and at the same time it feels so long already, seeing that I have been receiving many lovely visits from you dear Postcrossers and wonderful friends, I can’t be more thankful for your time to visit me here! All this postcard blogging idea came really out of the blue when I was having hard time trying to do something in this life, at the time I was feeling completely lost and lonely – some of you may understand what I am talking about – and thanks to you, I have gained so much motivations through what I have been writing about the postcards you have sent me, as much as I have gained love and friendship with some of you at the times I needed some so badly, just to know there’s someone out there and now I feel much better again. And apparently this postcard blog, is one of the medium of my strength for the past half year, I am glad I got to know you here and from Postcrossing. Maybe people see this as just about postcards, or about blogging postcards. But for me, it means much more than that. It has brought back my happiness and smile!

As I already wrote in the last PFF post, I’ll be moving in order to continue studying, in fact, tomorrow! Since I’m planning to be a good student this time, and I can’t bring my postcards box to the uni, it’s sad to annouce that I’m having a break from this postcards blogging.. probably for a long time, I dont know. Though I really hope I can be back to here one day, sooner or later. I know I’ll be missing my postcards and your visits to here! :)

I won’t have my message long, just to let you know that your every visit to this blog and comments have made me feel as if I have had many friends visiting me everyday and I can’t be any happier! :D Thanks so much for your time, I just hope you won’t forget me in future!! BIG HUGS AND SEE YOU AGAIN!

Birthday cards 2009!

I never thought I would still be receiving birthday cards from Postcrossers this year, I mean, after the long hiatus last year and awkward comeback I hardly knew many people anymore in the beginning, but who would have thought, some neat buddies on the forum have been kind enough and instantly become dear friends I wish I had known them much earlier :) (and you know who you are :)) Well, these are some cards, arrived to celebrate my so-called birthday this year. I am happy to say they have really brightened my day and made me so special in a way that there do exist people out there who care enough to write so lovely wishes on pretty cards despite that they’re far away from me! So MY DEARS, READ THIS: I LOVE YOU!! :)

OK this is not from Postcrosser at least. My dearest penpal Sonia whose letters had failed to reach me these past few years, but after over one year, she replied my letter again and with this lovely card recently. In fact, throughout our friendship, she has always remembered my birthday.. although I didnt manage to remember hers this much! :/

From Anagahan. So this is the first birthday card from a Postcrosser arrived this year, and I am glad it came from a dear friend of GTKY. Thanks Ana, if you ever read this, you know you’ve been special to me! :)

From Cockie. Though it’s actually a return card of birthday card I had sent to her friend (which I found a really wonderful way to cheer a friend!!), but knowing that I was having my birthday to come, Mieko also wrote this card as a birthday wish to me. Thanks so much for this pretty card!!

From Hadassah. HAHA Essi!! Are these you and me in the picture, perhaps in our 70s, celebrating our birthday together? On a tree! LOL it doesn’t look too bad! :D :D And thanks dear for this lovely wishes that cheered me up! Big hugs!

AHAHA I’m sorry others, but I have to say this is the coolest birthday card I ever got! :P Well yeah at least for a second I really thought I was smart and popular and good-looking as the card says! :P LOL I didnt know 20th June was a lucky day either :)) but every day is a lucky day when you’re born that day! ;) Thanks Carol for your lovely thoughts! PFF – Back to school!

Hiya Friday Postcards Friends!! :) I haven’t done much postcards blogging lately, been messed up with many things and I guess it’s gonna stay like this for quite a while. But I just want to take this opportunity to blog on this blessed Friday coz Marie the lovely hostess has cheered me up with her public birthday wish (I am *still* blushing if you can see me) and I have also a public message to you guys who have visited me a few times here especially on PFF.

Well, remember the cute postcard sent to me as a Random Act of Smileness I featured on PFF many weeks before? The postcard I’m featuring today is somewhat the idea of RAS as well, only I had received this card way before RAS officially existed on Postcrossing forum. And still it was really a sweet surprise, for no reason, just to make me smile – and sure I did! :)))

A beautiful picture of Ameri’s historical house in Iran. But what’s written on the back is in fact more beautiful..

I think Omid doesnt mind I put his message here as he’s no longer on Postcrossing since years..  When I saw this card in the hostel mailbox, I was like, OMG, that’s the thoughtful of a postcard swapper who’s actually a loving friend I didn’t know! I was living in the student hostel over the years of university time, and only came home to collect my mails once a month and though I did give the safety-suspicous hostel address to Postcrossers for some reason (okay, coz I was actually impatient to wait til get home!) but a lovely surprise like this really cheered me up alot from the boredom and craziness of living in the hostel!

OKAY and why I do feature this card now, you ask? Coz in a few days, I’ll be back to school again!! AGH! I’ve been accepeted to do postgrad studies in Electronics starting July, and by end of this month I’m going to a new university to see a new environment and new guys perhaps, after half a year of rest and half a year of job and half a year of rest again. And that will also mean a rest of my Postcrossing activity again.. *sob sob* plus I dont think I can drag the huge box of postcards along to wherever I’ll be living for the next one year, therefore don’t be surprised if you don’t see me update my postcards blog as usual.

So it’s sad to announce this, but this is perhaps my last entry of PFF for now, I am not sure when I will come back on postcards blogsphere again, but just wish me luck for my school comeback – coz I hate classes!! =___=

I have freaking turned 26 today. I don’t want to talk much about it. But being a Postcrosser, there’s always something to make me smile on my birthday!

No, it’s not the cake!! But cards!! :D Yes, the lovely Postcrossers have always cheered me up regardless I hate the fact that I get older on birthdays! :) In this post I would like to thank a heaven to everyone who spent some time writing and sending me your lovely wishes, you have no idea how much it means to me!! :) BIG BIG HUGS!!! (well yeah, I’m featuring cards from past years first, as this is officially the first birthday post for this blog – which only started this year – and in a few days I’ll be posting the cards which I have got for this year’s birthday :)). OKAY that was  a postcards SPAM -______- but I can’t help it coz I did receive alot of birthday cards in past years!! (and of course, a portion of them are thanks to the fact that I put a “tiny advert” about my birthday on my forum signature once, well, hence those expected surprises :P and a few from Birthday tags and RR as well.. so I did not receive all these merely because I am a total celebrity or anything :D though it’s good if I were one lol). And still my dear friends Postcrossers, you are the best!!

PFF – Haris the Toy Voyager

Hello! I have made a few postcards posts featuring Haris previously, but now I decided to introduce properly this little friend of mine to all my Friday Postcards friends! :)

This is Haris. A cool kitty, can be naughty at times and likes to eat alot! No wonder he looks as if he gained weight after one month traveling to Paris last February! Well, he started his journey on behalf of imajica (who wishes so hard that she could fit an envelope to travel Europe too -___- ) and has been to Paris, Rome, Budapest recently and now is staying with Essi in Lappeenranta, Finland! He will soon probably be visiting Poland and Macedonia!

And what does this kitty toy have to do with Postcards, you ask? :) Now let’s take a look back at my previous postcards of Paris (and Eiffel Tower!), Budapest, Rome, and Finland all featuring Haris!! :D It’s really good to know (at least) I have some postcards with places he went to!
